Getting Your Hair Done During A Pandemic & Ways to Help

Can I first start off with the simple fact that times are CRAZY? We all just need a little bit of self love and TLC right now. That being said, one of the easiest ways to do so is getting some sort of beautifying service done.

YES, I’m talking about hair cutting/colors, nail appointments, massage, facials, or even the GYM. We all have something that makes us feel a little bit better. From March-June, I don’t know about you; but I felt HAGGARD. So I thought I would type up a list of ways to make it easier for you and your service provider to be HAPPY.

  1. Just wear ya damn MASK. It’s so simple, and it prevents others from getting sick and being uncomfortable. I understand that you’re a new client and want me to see your face shape, but please keep your mask on. You can always come back within the two week period to get adjustments if needed.

  2. If you have an appointment but need to cancel, TRY TO PAY YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER. They are counting on that income and are already struggling keeping their books full. It’s such a hard time for everyone right now, but if you can I encourage you to pay for your cancellations.

  3. Come to your appointment clean with fresh hair. I (and I know others) appreciate it so much and it makes the salon feel so much cleaner.

  4. If you want to get your hair done but are nervous, just reach out to your service provider and see what your options are. They may be up for doing house calls! I am so grateful that I work in a studio salon during these times. It’s pure 1 on 1 interactions.

  5. Just give a little LOVE. We all need it right now. For me, it is so fulfilling making my clients feel a little bit better about themselves. ESPECIALLY during these times.

I ask that we all do our part, and give a little extra love to our local businesses in need right now.

Here are some ways that you can help support some of your favorites :)

  1. Leave a review! It costs no money for you, and it helps them gain exposure. I know I appreciate reviews more than you can imagine and I know others feel the same.

  2. Ask if you can buy gift certificates! This is such a good way to make your local business feel happy and needed. And you can look forward to an appointment in the future!

  3. Spend a little extra at your appointment if you can. Ask if they offer any add on services, or purchase extra products! Some of my favorite add on services include deep conditioning treatments, color glossing, eyebrow wax and tinting.

Thank you so much for reading!

I know we can all get through this together with a little extra love.

XOXO
